A French national arriving in Pakistan from India was apprehended at Islamabad International Airport for attempting to smuggle a large quantity of drugs. According to an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) spokesperson, the operation was part of a nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking.
The suspect, traveling on a visit visa from India to Islamabad and then heading to Sri Lanka via Muscat, was found with 1.58 kilograms of hashish concealed in chocolate packaging.

A case has been filed against the individual under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and an investigation has begun.
This follows a recent incident where ANF stopped a cocaine smuggling attempt at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, arresting a Brazilian woman who had concealed 1.396 kilograms of cocaine in her undergarments.
In another disturbing case, a young man addicted to “ice” killed his father, brother, and niece with a dagger, while injuring his sister-in-law and two nieces, who are in critical condition. Police identified the suspect as Faizan, a recently released drug addict with a history of violence.
