Islamabad Police Officer Detained for Sexually Assaulting Two Child Beggars

Authorities announced on Monday that Sub-Inspector Sohaib Pasha of the Shams Colony Police Station had been taken into custody on suspicion of sexually abusing two juvenile beggars.

According to police sources, Pasha allegedly kidnapped the boys, who were 12 and 11, from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital and held them illegally for two days without filing a formal report of their arrest.

Pasha is charged with abusing Abdullah and Abdul Rehman, the youngsters, both physically and sexually, while they were being held against their will. Additional sources said that during the abuse, Pasha struck the youngsters with clubs and shoes.

He was arrested after he was seen by a patrolling police unit reportedly abusing the youngsters in his car. Pasha supposedly dropped the kids off to an Edhi Centre following the attacks.

The event was verified by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ali Raza. “Sub-Inspector Sohaib Pasha is the target of a case that was filed at Karachi Company Police Station. Justice will be served, and we are treating this seriously,” Raza declared.

The public is demanding harsh punishment in response to the arrest, which has provoked indignation and requests for increased responsibility within the police force.
