The water supply in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will be significantly impacted for 10 days as maintenance work, including a thorough cleaning of Khanpur Dam, takes place from February 10 to 19, as per an official notification.
Islamabad will face a daily reduction of 5 million gallons of water, while Rawalpindi will experience a shortage of 13 million gallons each day.

Several localities, including Dhok Hassu, Pirudhai, and Fauji Colony in Rawalpindi, along with sectors D-12, G-10, G-11, F-10, F-11, and G-9 in Islamabad, will suffer from water scarcity during this period.
Authorities have advised residents to conserve water and use it wisely, as the supply will remain limited until the dam’s maintenance is completed.
