Summer Vacations Declared for Federal Educational Institutions

The Federal Directorate of Education has declared summer vacations for schools in Islamabad from June 5 to August 1, 2025. According to the official circular, all educational institutions are scheduled to resume classes on Monday, August 4, 2025.

In light of rising temperatures, the directorate has adjusted school timings starting May 26. Single-shift schools will now operate from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while double-shift schools are directed to function during evening hours to avoid the heat.

Programs for BS and ADP students will proceed as per their existing schedule. Moreover, libraries and IT labs will remain accessible throughout the summer break.

Meanwhile, the Sindh School Education Department also released a notification announcing summer holidays for schools across the province. The break will last from June 1 to July 31, 2025, and applies to both public and private educational institutions, providing a two-month respite for students and staff. This decision is part of a broader initiative to mitigate the effects of extreme summer heat on the academic environment.
