Karachi 9th Grader Takes Own Life Over Financial Crisis

A 17-year-old ninth-grade student named Rafi tragically ended his life in Karachi due to severe financial difficulties. Rafi was found hanging in his family’s flat near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Sharifabad. The police moved his body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for necessary procedures.

Rafi’s father, an education department employee, had been struggling with delayed salaries, worsening the family’s financial situation. Their inability to cover basic expenses, including rent and exam fees, reportedly intensified over time.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances as the family’s prolonged hardship has raised concerns.
