Defence Minister Khawaja Asif dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) claims of worker deaths during Islamabad protests, calling them “fake information” spread locally and internationally to malign the country.
He stated on X, “There are no bodies, funerals, or information about relatives.” Asif also accused PTI of planning to create tension between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government and the federal center.

Meanwhile, PML-N leader Rana Tanveer Hussain called for allied parties to consider banning PTI, emphasizing that democracy thrives in parliament, not through street protests.
He also claimed that 50 Afghan nationals were identified as participants in PTI protests and praised PM Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts in economic revival.
