Due to adverse weather conditions, schools in various parts of the country remain closed, with yet another district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announcing holidays for government schools. The Deputy Commissioner of Khyber has declared the closure of 25 government schools in Tirah Valley due to heavy snowfall, making the learning process unfeasible. These schools will remain closed until March 10, 2024. The affected schools include:

2. Government Middle School (GMS), Kotkai Ziarat, Tirah
3. GMS, Toor Toot, Tirah
4. Girls Government Middle School (GGMS), Zanjeer Killi, Tirah
5. GMS, Mewa Khan, Tirah
6. GMS, Khaista Gul, Tirah
7. Girls Government Primary School (GGPS), Kham Killi, Tirah
8. GGPS, Muhammad Din Shah, Tirah
9. GGPS, Zaley Khan, Tirah
10. Government Primary School (GPS), Misri Khan Takhtakai, Tirah
11. GPS, Hasham Killi, Tirah
12. GPS, Awal Kareem, Tirah
13. GPS, Masood Killi, Tirah
14. GPS, Habib Shah Killi, Tirah
15. GPS, Niaz Muhammad, Tirah

Earlier, district administrations in Swat and Upper Dir had also announced the closure of schools due to heavy rainfall and snowfall, leading to road blockages. All government and private educational institutions in Upper Dir district will remain closed until Friday, March 8, 2024, as per the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner.
