Pakistan’s aviation authority has once again suspended airspace over Lahore for 24 hours, citing operational reasons, as confirmed in a fresh NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued on Wednesday. Commercial flight routes J139, J165, and J186 remain affected.
This follows a brief reopening of flight operations over Lahore and Karachi after earlier closures linked to heightened security concerns triggered by recent Indian airstrikes on Pakistani soil. While Islamabad and Karachi have resumed flight operations, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) urges travelers to remain in contact with airlines due to ongoing scheduling uncertainties.

Islamabad International Airport and several others were placed on red alert earlier today, with increased patrolling by Pakistan Air Force jets amid fears of further escalation. Flights from Qatar Airways, Saudia, and a private airline were diverted as part of emergency protocols.
Airports in Multan, Skardu, Faisalabad, and Peshawar also remain on high alert as the nation’s aviation infrastructure adjusts to the evolving security situation.
