In response to the Punjab government’s decision to apprehend motorists driving without a valid license, a significant number of individuals, including women, have applied to obtain their licenses.
Over the last 11 days, officials reported that a remarkable 63,000 women submitted applications for driving licenses. However, a noteworthy 80% of these applicants did not pass the driving tests, underscoring the urgent need for enhanced driving education and training programs in the region.

It is crucial to highlight the substantial surge in driving license issuance, witnessing a staggering 788% increase in recent weeks. Just last week, more than 60,000 driving licenses were issued to citizens.
