NADRA Launches Bike Service in Karachi for Convenient Identity Card Services

In an effort to improve convenience for residents, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new service in Karachi, designed to provide hassle-free identity card issuance and renewal. The service, starting on Monday, aims to save citizens from long waits and queues typically associated with these processes.

Initially, three bikers will operate in Karachi, while Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas will each have one bike offering the service. Additional bikes will be added to the fleet soon, with a total of ten planned for the near future. Each representative will carry a backpack with the necessary processing equipment to handle the requests.

For those opting for home services, a fee of Rs1,000 will be charged, which covers Rs825 for the service and Rs175 for delivery. This initiative is expected to streamline the process for citizens and enhance their experience with NADRA’s services.

In a related move, NADRA recently announced the closure of its Pak ID website, with all services to be transferred to a mobile app. This decision comes after concerns over fraudulent activities related to fake websites. Additionally, 24-hour passport processing counters have been set up at NADRA Mega Centres in Karachi, providing round-the-clock services to citizens.
