Pakistan Navy Sends PNS Tughril to Secure Merchant Ships in the Gulf Of Aden

The Pakistan Navy has deployed PNS TUGHRIL in the Gulf of Aden to ensure the safety of Pakistani merchant ships amid the current maritime situation in the Middle East. The navy clarified that the deployment aims to protect shipments to and from Pakistani ports as they navigate through one of the world’s busiest chokepoints.

Emphasizing its commitment to a rule-based order, the Pakistan Navy regularly deploys ships on Regional Maritime Security Patrols and contributes to collaborative maritime security efforts with Combined Maritime Forces.

PNS TUGHRIL, equipped with HQ-16 medium-range air defense missiles, was inducted into the Pakistan Navy in January of the previous year.
