Pakistani Army Kills 8 Afghan Taliban in Retaliation

The Pakistani military retaliated forcefully against Afghan Taliban fire at the border, killing eight members, including two key commanders.

On September 7, the Afghan Taliban launched an unprovoked attack on Pakistani checkpoints from Pulusan, Afghanistan, using heavy weapons. The Taliban’s increasing hostility at the border follows their history of facilitating terrorist attacks on Pakistan.

In response, the Pakistani Army’s decisive action inflicted severe damage, killing eight Taliban fighters and injuring sixteen others, including commanders Khalil and Jan Muhammad.
