Pakistani Citizens Now Face Rs. 50,000 Fine for Late NIC Registration

The Pakistani government has introduced stricter regulations requiring all citizens to obtain their National Identity Card (NIC) within 90 days of turning 18. This move aims to ensure timely registration and streamline identification processes across the country.

According to the NADRA Ordinance 2000, those failing to meet the deadline may face severe penalties. These include fines of up to Rs. 50,000 or imprisonment for up to six months, underscoring the importance of compliance with the rule.
