Awais Ahmad, a distinguished PhD scholar from Pakistan, has once again elevated his country’s standing in the global scientific community by being ranked among the top 2% of scientists in the fields of material science and chemistry.

This remarkable achievement not only highlights his exceptional talent but also marks a historic milestone as the first time a Pakistani pursuing a PhD has received such recognition. This is also his second consecutive year on this prestigious list.

In 2021, Ahmad was honored with the Young Scientist Award by the Saudi Chemical Society, and he is currently ranked 10th in the AD SCIENTIFIC Index 2023. His impressive contributions to the field include over 150 scientific articles published in high-impact journals, boasting a cumulative impact factor exceeding 1600. Furthermore, he has edited more than seven international scientific books, demonstrating his influence and commitment to advancing knowledge in chemistry.

As the youngest scientist in Europe specializing in chemistry, Awais has shared his expertise by speaking at over 15 universities across Pakistan, inspiring the next generation of scientists. Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Lahore, his achievements have garnered him both national and international acclaim.
