Pakistani PM Joins Global Leaders in Denouncing Trump’s Assassination Attempt

Former US President Donald Trump was shot in the ear during an election campaign rally in Pennsylvania, making global headlines.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif joined world leaders in condemning the apparent assassination attempt, expressing sympathy for Trump and the other injured, and stating that any form of violence in politics is unacceptable.

US President Biden called the violence sick and urged national unity against such acts. Vice President Kamala Harris offered prayers for Trump, his family, and the injured. Bush condemned the attack as cowardly and praised the Secret Service’s quick response. Bill and Hillary Clinton also denounced the violence and expressed relief that Trump was unharmed.

European Union’s Josep Borrell, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and various leaders from South America to Asia condemned the violence, underscoring the need to reject political violence and uphold democracy.

The shooting, occurring just months before the election, sparked widespread shock and renewed discussions about security and political rhetoric in the United States.
