Pakistan’s Sabeel Sohail has won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship, marking a significant achievement for the country on the international stage.

Competing in the 47kg Classic Bench Press category, Sabeel showcased an exceptional performance, outlifting her rivals to secure the top position.

Additionally, her sister Veronika Sohail earned a bronze medal in the 52kg category, contributing to Pakistan’s success.

In the 52kg category, the gold medal went to a powerlifter from England, while an Indian athlete took home the silver.

The Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship is currently being held in Sun City, South Africa, featuring athletes from around the globe, including the three Sohail sisters, who are representing Pakistan with distinction.
