PIA Crew Members Caught with 78 Smuggled iPhone 16 Pro Devices

Customs officials seized 78 high-value mobile phones, including 54 iPhones, valued at hundreds of thousands of rupees, from the crew of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Dubai to Multan.

The confiscated iPhone 16 Pro devices were found with five crew members: senior steward Faisal Pervaiz, air hostesses Nishat and Sadaf, and flight stewards Imran and Khalid Khan.

Acting on prior intelligence, customs officials intercepted the crew and initially recovered 24 iPhones from the two air hostesses.

Further investigations led to the identification of the male crew members involved, resulting in the recovery of 54 additional phones from them after being summoned back from their hotel. The total value of the confiscated phones is estimated in the millions of rupees.

Statements from the involved crew members have been recorded, and while the phones were confiscated, the individuals were allowed to return home following the inquiry.
