PM Kakar Arrives in Switzerland for 54th WEF Summit

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has arrived in Davos, Switzerland, for a five-day visit to participate in the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF is an international non-governmental organization that facilitates public-private sector collaboration. During his stay from January 15 to 19, the caretaker premier is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the theme “Trade Tech’s Trillion Dollar Promise.”

PM Kakar will also participate in three key thematic events focusing on preventing global conflict, restoring faith in the global system, and preventing economic fracture. He is expected to hold meetings with government and business leaders on the sidelines of the event. Additionally, the caretaker prime minister will lead a special “Invest in Pakistan” event during his official visit.

This year’s WEF annual meeting will convene under the theme “Rebuilding Trust,” aiming to provide a space for discussions on fundamental principles such as transparency, consistency, and accountability that drive trust. The global event will bring together over 100 governments, major international organizations, partner companies, civil society leaders, experts, youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and the media.
