Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed willingness to hold talks with “those led astray” in Balochistan, urging a peaceful resolution to long-standing grievances through dialogue. Speaking at a grand jirga in Quetta, he emphasized the need for “social and economic justice” and called for unity against terrorist groups allegedly backed by foreign actors.

The premier announced that Rs250 billion — a quarter of the federal PSDP — would be allocated to Balochistan this year. He also pledged Rs70 billion for solar energy projects and Rs150 billion for upgrading the dangerous N-25 highway.
Referring to recent border clashes with India, Shehbaz said Pakistan’s armed forces, under Field Marshal Asim Munir, had dealt a strong blow to the enemy, bolstering national unity and regional confidence.
