Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik during his visit to Pakistan, stating that the “Ummah-e-Muslima is proud of you.” The two met during the launch of the Pakistan Economic Dashboard in Islamabad, where the Prime Minister lauded Dr. Naik for his global efforts in promoting the true identity of Islam.

PM Shehbaz emphasized the significant influence of Dr. Naik’s lectures, especially among younger audiences, noting that they offer deep insights into Islam’s teachings. He also expressed pride in Dr. Naik’s son for continuing his legacy and serving Islam.
Highlighting Islam as a religion of peace, the Prime Minister recalled his first meeting with Dr. Naik in 2006, extending his admiration and best wishes for the scholar’s continued work.
Dr. Zakir Naik, in turn, shared his fond memories of visiting Pakistan for the first time in 1991, calling Pakistan the only country founded in the name of Islam. He also revealed plans to deliver lectures in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, spreading the message of Islam across the country.
