Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on Bahraini investors to explore the promising investment opportunities in Pakistan, emphasizing the strong historical and brotherly ties between the two nations. The invitation was extended during a meeting in Islamabad with a Bahraini parliamentary delegation led by Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives.
Strengthening Pakistan-Bahrain Relations
In the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his best wishes to Bahrain’s King, Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. He highlighted the deep-rooted historical, religious, and cultural connections between Pakistan and Bahrain, emphasizing the importance of enhancing people-to-people exchanges to further strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation.

He stressed the role of parliamentary exchanges in deepening ties, saying, “Parliamentary exchanges play a crucial role in strengthening the brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Bahrain.”
Call for Bahraini Investment in Pakistan
Prime Minister Sharif encouraged Bahraini investors to take advantage of Pakistan’s business-friendly environment, noting the country’s vast potential across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and technology. He also recognized the significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in Bahrain and called for enhanced trade and economic collaboration between the two countries.
Discussion on Palestine and Gaza Crisis
Prime Minister Sharif also raised the issue of Palestine, urging Pakistan, Bahrain, and the broader Muslim world to increase efforts to support the people of Palestine and Gaza. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian cause and called for greater humanitarian and diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing crisis.
Key Officials Present at the Meeting
The meeting was attended by Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and other senior government officials, all of whom engaged in discussions aimed at furthering Pakistan-Bahrain cooperation in multiple sectors.
