Prime Suspect in Amir Balaj Tipu Murder Case Fatally Shot

In a dramatic turn of events, Ahsan Shah, the prime suspect in the high-profile murder case of Lahore’s well-known political and business figure, Ameer Balaj Tipu, was fatally shot by his own accomplices while in police custody.

The incident took place late Friday night as Lahore Police were escorting Shah to the Shad Bagh area to recover evidence.

According to official reports, as the police convoy neared Shad Bagh, a group of Shah’s associates launched a daring attack on the officers in an attempt to free him.

While the police officers managed to escape unharmed, Ahsan Shah was critically wounded in the ensuing crossfire. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he died from his injuries.

Ahsan Shah had been arrested several months earlier for his involvement in the February 19, 2024, murder of his close friend, Ameer Balaj Tipu.

The murder occurred during a wedding ceremony, where Tipu was shot and killed. Two other individuals were injured in the gunfire, and one of the attackers, Muzaffar Hussain, was killed on the spot by Tipu’s security team.

The murder case, filed by Ameer Balaj’s brother, Ameer Musab, implicated Khawaja Tareef Gulshan, also known as Teefi Butt, his cousin Khawaja Aqeel, and four unidentified individuals as suspects.

The death of Ahsan Shah, the main accused, further complicates the investigation, leaving law enforcement agencies to uncover the motives behind this latest act of violence.
