Salman Ahmad, a prominent member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and renowned singer, has been officially expelled from the party. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar issued the notification, citing Ahmad’s continuous violation of party policies.
The decision comes after Ahmad repeatedly shared anti-PTI content on social media, targeting the party’s leadership, including former First Lady Bushra Bibi and the family of PTI’s founding chairman, Imran Khan. Despite clear instructions from the leadership, Ahmad persisted with posts that directly contradicted the party’s stance.

In a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter), Ahmad accused Bushra Bibi and her associates of corruption and incompetence. He went on to criticize them as a “constant source of embarrassment” for Imran Khan. His allegations were met with strong condemnation from Khan, who dismissed them as baseless and foolish.
PTI’s founding chairman defended Bushra Bibi and condemned Ahmad’s actions as unfounded attacks on his family. The expulsion highlights PTI’s firm stance on maintaining discipline and protecting its leadership from defamatory statements.
