PTI Leader Salman Akram Raja Released After Arrest in Election Protest

Barrister Salman Akram Raja, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a candidate for the NA-128 constituency in Lahore, has been released from custody. He was arrested by Lahore Police on Saturday during his participation in a protest against the alleged rigging of the 2024 general elections.

Raja was taken into custody when he arrived at the PTI office on Raja Jail Road. However, he was subsequently released on personal bail. His arrest led to PTI supporters present at the scene raising slogans against the police.

The PTI had organized nationwide protests on the day of the incident to express their concerns about the alleged electoral irregularities observed during the 2024 general elections.
