Rana Sikandar Hayat highlighted that the absence of permanent headmasters had weakened school management and affected the overall quality of education. By restoring leadership, the government hopes to address issues of discipline, academic planning, and teacher accountability.

He instructed officials to speed up the recruitment process to ensure schools benefit from strong, stable leadership without further delay. The move is being welcomed as a significant step towards reviving the public education system in Punjab.
