Passenger Heading to Saudi Arabia Detained with 544 Grams of Meth at Lahore Airport

Pakistani authorities have apprehended a passenger at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport who attempted to smuggle 544 grams of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, on a flight to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted multiple operations, resulting in drug seizures valued at over Rs24 lakh.

At Islamabad airport, ANF officials detained a female passenger carrying 53 heroin-filled capsules also headed for Jeddah.

Additionally, ANF intercepted 470 grams of ice from a parcel at Sialkot’s General Post Office destined for Bahrain. Another raid near a hotel on Shikarpur Road uncovered 26.4 kilograms of hashish hidden in a car, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect.

Legal action has been initiated under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with further investigations ongoing.
