Punjab Prohibits ‘Vexa’ and ‘Neutroline’ Injections Following Drug Reaction Cases

The Directorate of Drug Control has imposed an immediate ban on a private company’s injection across Punjab after a drug reaction incident at Mayo Hospital.

As per the official directive, all pharmacies in the province have been instructed to cease the sale and administration of the affected injection due to potential health risks.

The notification specifies that the use of the injection Vexa and the solution Neutroline must be halted immediately as a precautionary measure. Additionally, the specific batch suspected of causing harm has been restricted from use until further notice.

This decision prioritizes patient safety, and the ban will remain in effect until laboratory test results confirm the drugs’ safety, according to the Directorate of Drug Control.
