Punjabi to Become School Subject in Punjab

The decision by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to introduce Punjabi language as a subject in schools marks a significant development in the education sector of the province. Speaking at a ceremony commemorating Punjab Culture Day held at Alhamra Hall, CM Punjab expressed her gratitude to the citizens for their trust in her leadership.

In her address, CM Punjab emphasized the resilience and indispensable role of Punjabi women as the backbone of their families. She urged parents to instill the Punjabi language in their children and pledged support for the revival of Punjabi cinema.

Reflecting on Punjab’s rich cultural heritage, Maryam Nawaz lamented the diminishing sense of pride associated with the Punjabi language. The Chief Minister’s commitment to promoting Punjabi culture was praised by Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari.

The event, attended by senior officials including Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Chief Secretary, signifies a concerted effort to preserve and celebrate Punjab’s cultural identity through language and arts.
