The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain, thunder, and strong winds for several areas across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the coming days.
According to the PMD, dusty and strong winds are expected in the plains of Punjab, while light rainfall is anticipated in cities like Talagang, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi. Evening and nighttime showers with thunder may occur in areas such as Murree, Galiyat, Attock, and Chakwal.

Islamabad and its nearby regions are expected to endure intense heat during the daytime, with a chance of thunderstorms and rain later at night.
In KP, similar windy conditions are likely in the lower regions, while upper areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Malakand may receive nighttime rainfall with thunder and lightning. Additional showers are also expected in Mansehra, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is expected to persist in Sindh—particularly Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana—and much of Balochistan, where temperatures remain considerably above average.
Authorities have advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor exposure during the peak heat hours, especially in areas under severe heatwave conditions.
