The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rainfall in multiple cities starting from February 18, bringing relief after an extended dry spell. This weather system is expected to impact areas across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and several interior cities in Punjab between February 18 and 20.
Prior to the rain, Monday, February 17, is predicted to remain largely dry, with humidity levels ranging from 31 to 35 percent. In the capital, Islamabad, the air pollution index has been recorded at 152, reflecting a moderate air quality level. This rainfall is expected to significantly improve air quality in the affected areas.

The PMD has also alerted residents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi about a potential increase in pollen levels, advising people to prepare for the changes in weather conditions and take necessary precautions.
In Lahore, the weather will remain mostly cloudy with brief intervals of sunshine. The chances of rain in Lahore are slim, with only a 10% likelihood of showers. The temperature in Lahore is expected to range from a minimum of 10°C to a maximum of 25°C.
Meanwhile, the hill stations of Murree and Galyat are set to experience cloudy skies with light rain and occasional snowfall. While this weather system will bring much-needed rain to several parts of the country, the PMD has indicated that most regions in Punjab will continue to experience dry conditions.
