The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) filed FIRs on Monday against officials from two unauthorized housing schemes on GT Road, Gujar Khan. The reports were made against Mega City/Iqbal City for unlawful advertising through Ms. GK Mega City Developers and New Metro City for similar issues via Ms. BSM Developers.
An RDA spokesperson noted that despite prior notices to halt advertisements, the schemes continued their illegal marketing. The RDA is taking legal action against these unauthorized advertisements and emphasizes that developing or marketing such schemes without the required NOC is prohibited.

The RDA has warned the public against investing in unauthorized schemes and advised sponsors to cease marketing unapproved projects immediately. Letters have also been sent to various authorities regarding these illegal advertisements on social media. RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza has mandated strict measures against such illegal activities.
