Daring Heist Armed Robbers Snatch Rs15.6 Million from Seafood Company Staff Near Keamari

Six unidentified armed robbers on two motorcycles looted Rs15.6 million from the staff of a Korean seafood export company near Keamari Fish Harbour, a video circulating on social media shows.

The robbery occurred after the company staff withdrew the cash from a nearby bank. As the vehicle carrying the money approached the company gate, the armed robbers intercepted it at gunpoint and snatched the bag containing the cash. They also disarmed a security guard accompanying the staff and fled immediately.

Police officials confirmed that the security guard did not resist during the robbery. Both the guard and the company’s accountant have been taken into custody for questioning. Authorities are investigating all angles, including possible inside involvement.

SSP Keamari, Captain (retd) Faizan Ali, said that CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained along with other evidence. SHO Docks Nand Lal added that the looted money was intended to be distributed among employees as bonuses, according to the company’s statement.

The incident has raised concerns about security around financial transactions and transport of large sums of cash. Law enforcement agencies are working to trace the armed robbers using CCTV footage and witness statements.

Residents and business owners in the area have urged authorities to increase patrols and security measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The police have assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen money.

This daring robbery highlights the growing need for enhanced security protocols for companies handling large cash withdrawals, especially near Keamari Fish Harbour.
