A Central Karachi Additional District and Sessions Judge has sentenced a man to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting his own daughter.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs200,000 and added an extra seven years of hard labor for issuing threats.

According to Prosecutor Hina Naz, the crime took place in 2020 at the family’s home. The victim initially informed her mother about the assault, but no action was taken.
The father continued to abuse his daughter, and she eventually gave birth. When she revealed to her mother that her father was the child’s biological parent, the mother physically attacked her husband.
The prosecutor stated that the victim later confided in a man named Waris on Facebook, who, after learning about her ordeal, agreed to marry her.
After their marriage, the victim and her husband reported the crime to the New Karachi police station. She testified against her father in court, where DNA evidence confirmed the crime, leading to his conviction.
