Sindh Government Launches Major Initiatives to Enhance Emergency Response and Healthcare Services

The Sindh government has taken significant steps to improve emergency response and healthcare services across the province with the launch of the Sindh Integrated Emergency & Health Services (SIEHS-1122). This initiative marks a new era in emergency care in Pakistan, introducing state-of-the-art ambulance services designed to provide swift and reliable assistance during critical situations.

In addition to the advanced ambulance services, SIEHS has rolled out several other vital services aimed at protecting and saving lives. The newly launched Fire Fighter Services are equipped and ready to respond to emergencies with efficiency and courage, while the Water Rescue Services are available 24/7 to handle emergencies on water bodies.

Urban Search and Rescue teams, trained to operate in the most challenging environments, are prepared to locate and rescue individuals in danger. The Mobile Rescue Service ensures rapid response to emergencies, regardless of location, and a Free Mortuary Service offers compassionate support to grieving families during their time of need.

On the healthcare front, SIEHS has introduced Tele-Tabeeb-1123, a groundbreaking nationwide virtual clinic providing free medical consultations and mental health counseling. Accessible 24/7, this service is available to everyone in Pakistan at no cost, making healthcare more accessible than ever.

The SIEHS operations are further supported by the Research, Development & Education (RDE) Department, the in-house training division of SIEHS. The RDE has already trained 4,957 candidates, including both internal and external trainees, and has provided training services to 21 external organizations.

SIEHS is now operational in 30 districts across Sindh, ensuring that life-saving services are available to a vast majority of the province’s population. These initiatives underscore the Sindh government’s commitment to enhancing public safety and healthcare services for its citizens.
