Three-Year-Old Girl Raped, Killed in Karachi

A three-year-old girl was brutally killed in the city’s Federal B Area (FB Area) on Wednesday, and rescue and police authorities informed that the post-mortem examination confirmed the youngster had also been raped.

According to the post-mortem report, the victim was strangled to death, the police claimed.

As rescue workers fight to maintain peace and order in the metropolis, the youngster has been identified as Amna, daughter of Abdul Basit, they added.

According to Zeeshan Siddiqui, the Central Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the youngster departed from home following her brother and sister, who left for school in the morning.

At 7:30 am, the girl was discovered deceased a short distance from her residence. It appears that she was strangled to death because a dupatta was placed around her neck, the police officer stated.

In addition, the police have stated that they have gathered evidence from the scene of the crime and asked the victim’s relatives to file a case.

According to Siddiqui, who spoke with Geo News, the girl’s father is now in Saudi Arabia for the Umrah. He added that although there were no CCTV cameras in the lane where Amna was discovered dead, an inquiry was still in progress.

The event occurred less than two months after reports surfaced in August that a young girl in Karachi’s Saddar neighbourhood had been sexually assaulted and killed before being dumped in a trash dump.

The 12-year-old victim was discovered concealed in a gunny bag from the Lucky Star trash dump.

Citing the post-mortem assessment, Chief Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed verified that the girl had experienced “sexual abuse”.

In a related incident, five dacoits were shot and killed by the police in Karachi’s Manghopir neighbourhood. Weapons, motorcycles, and other equipment were also found there.

According to SSP West Tariq Mastoi, the dacoits and law enforcement were exchanging gunfire when the police were conducting a search operation.

“The neighborhood’s residents had had enough of the gang of dacoits. The villagers assisted in the operation,” the cops continued.
