Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a gas suspension plan for various sectors of Islamabad, including F5, F6, F7, F8, G5, G6, G7, and G8.
Consumers in these sectors will experience a 12-hour gas supply interruption on October 5, from 8 am to 8 pm. This interruption is necessary for essential maintenance of gas pipelines in Sector F-8 to enhance the gas system.

Residents in these sectors are advised to make alternative arrangements during this time and refrain from using gas-powered appliances. Additionally, there is an expectation of a gas price hike by the caretaker government on the demand of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The IMF has called for an increase of 45-50 percent in gas prices, which has raised concerns among the public due to rising fuel costs.
