The ECP encourages political parties to apply for electoral symbols.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – The electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has invited political parties to submit applications for the allocation of electoral emblems for the country’s forthcoming general elections by July 19.

According to a press release published by the ECP on Sunday, political parties must submit their applications, duly signed by party leaders, to the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad by July 19.

Political parties have been directed to submit applications for election symbol allotment in accordance with Section 216 of the Elections Act of 2017.

The following information should be included in the applications:

  1. a) A list of the symbols requested in order of preference;
  2. b) Any insignia assigned to the political party during the preceding general election;
  3. c) Any such application must be signed by the party’s leader, using whatever name is specified.
  4. d) The address of the political party’s headquarters;
