A deadly suicide bombing near Chamkani’s cattle market left two police officials martyred and five others, including civilians, injured in a devastating act of terror. The attack took place within the jurisdiction of Chamkani police station when a routine police patrol intercepted a suspicious individual.
According to law enforcement, the suspect detonated explosives strapped to his body as officers approached him for questioning. The powerful explosion rocked the area, claiming the lives of two brave policemen and injuring two of their colleagues along with three civilians, all of whom were rushed to a nearby hospital.

SP Rural Mukhtiar Khan confirmed to the media that it was a suicide attack, underscoring that the officers were performing their routine duties when they encountered the assailant. The bomb disposal unit’s preliminary report revealed that approximately four to five kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.
Authorities have recovered body parts of the attacker and sent them for forensic examination to help identify the bomber and ascertain any affiliations. Meanwhile, the Chamkani Station House Officer has formally requested the Counter Terrorism Department to register a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act and other relevant laws.
