Trump to Host Luncheon for Pakistan’s Army Chief Amid Strengthening Bilateral Ties

U.S. President Donald Trump is set to host a luncheon today in honor of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, marking a high-profile moment in Pakistan-U.S. military diplomacy. The event will take place in the Cabinet Room of the White House, where a key meeting between the two leaders is also scheduled.

Field Marshal Munir is currently on an official visit to the United States and was earlier welcomed with a grand reception in Washington. Members of the overseas Pakistani community gathered in large numbers to greet the Army Chief, lauding the Pakistan Army’s sacrifices—especially during Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous.

The Army Chief also called for deeper engagement with the expatriate community to address national challenges and promote collective progress. Community members voiced their support and shared ideas for a more stable and prosperous Pakistan.
