Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to visit Pakistan this week as part of a regional tour, according to Turkish officials. The visit, scheduled between February 10 and 13, will also include stops in Malaysia and Indonesia, where President Erdogan is expected to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
Fahrettin Altun, Turkey’s Director of Communications, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that during Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan, he will co-chair the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meetings, focusing on advancing collaboration through key projects. The Turkish President is expected to meet with business leaders and sign agreements that will bolster the legal framework of bilateral ties.

In addition to economic discussions, Erdogan’s visit will address significant regional and global issues, including the situation in Gaza. The Turkish leader’s visit is expected to deepen strategic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey.
Prior to his visit, President Erdogan met with Pakistan’s former President Asif Ali Zardari at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport during a stopover en route to Portugal. The two leaders had a warm and productive exchange on mutual interests, further reinforcing the close relationship between the two nations.
