Two Japanese Climbers Go Missing Scaling K2

Two Japanese climbers disappeared while attempting K2’s summit on Saturday. According to Shigar Deputy Commissioner Waliullah Falahi, Kazuya Hirade and Kenro Nakajima fell from 7,500 meters on K2’s western side.

Pakistani Army helicopters conducted a search but found no movement from the climbers, who were spotted below the 100-meter mark. The helicopters were unable to land, prompting plans for a ground rescue team, though the climbers’ condition remains unknown.
