On the long weekend, Pakistan will see heavy monsoon rains.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are constantly invading the country, and a westerly wave is also evident in the upper and central areas of the country.
Rain/wind-thunderstorms (with scattered heavy falls) are expected in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur), Gilgit Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar), Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Mansehr

Rain/wind-thundershower (with few heavy falls) is expected in Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbella, Awaran, Kech, Gwadar, Panjgur, Mastung, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhel, Kohlu, Jhal Magsi, Loralai, Dera Ghazi khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan on 27th (night) & 28th July.
On the 27th (night) and 28th of July, heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in Balochistan and hill torrents in Dera Ghazi Khan. From the 27th (night) to the 29th (day), I will be in Kashmir, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Manshera, Abbottabad, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, and Lai Nullah.
Heavy rains are expected to cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Faisalabad from the 27th (night) to the 29th of July, as well as landslides in vulnerable areas of Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Farmers are encouraged to plan their activities in accordance with the weather forecast. Tourists and travelers are encouraged to be especially cautious during the wet season to prevent any unfortunate situations.
Wind-thunderstorms can cause damage to unsecured structures such as power poles and solar panels. During a windstorm, lightning, or severe rain, the general public is recommended to seek shelter in a safe location.
During the forecast time, all relevant agencies have been advised to remain vigilant and take the required precautions.
