US Expresses Concern About Pakistan Govt’s Decision to Ban PTI

The United States expressed concern on Tuesday regarding the Pakistan government’s decision to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller voiced this concern during a press briefing when questioned about the ‘possible ban on PTI’.

Miller mentioned that they have observed the government statements about the ban, indicating it could mark the start of a complex political process. He assured that the US will keep monitoring this internal process and its outcomes.

The State Department spokesperson reiterated that the US consistently supports democratic processes, broader principles, and the rule of law, including measures for justice.
