A US woman, Oneja, who traveled to Karachi to marry her lover, has demanded $100,000 from the Pakistani government after claiming that she was ditched by her fiancé, whom she met in the Garden area of the city. Ramazan Chhipa, head of the Chhipa Welfare Association, addressed the press alongside Oneja, urging her husband to come forward so he could facilitate a meeting between them and resolve the matter respectfully.
Chhipa shared that the woman had been in a distressed state, and after being homeless for several days, she was handed over to his organization by the Tipu Sultan police station. He expressed concern about her mental health, mentioning that her speech was inconsistent, and urged her family to come to Pakistan as soon as possible.

Despite efforts by police and embassy officials to convince Oneja to reconsider her plans, she remains determined to follow through with her intentions. She also stated that the US embassy does not support her and expressed dissatisfaction with their involvement. Oneja confirmed that she plans to travel to Dubai with her husband soon, though the situation remains complicated.
The escalating situation has caused discomfort among the residents of the apartment complex where Oneja is staying. To ensure security, the building management has restricted access to non-residents and closed the main entrance.
