Over the weekend, numerous videos surfaced of both male and female students dancing during an event held at a private university in Lahore. These videos faced criticism for being labeled as ‘vulgar.’
The clips, shared online by a local journalist, depict Pakistani girls dancing in attire considered revealing by some viewers. The event in question was purportedly hosted by the University of Central Punjab (UCP). The videos that circulated online portrayed students dancing collectively under strobe lights.

The students and the administration of the private university faced online backlash, with several students being observed in attire deemed indecent. The issue even gained traction in the Twitter trending section, where desi users called for action against the administration for permitting such an event.
The exuberant dance performances by the students, set against a backdrop of strobe lights and loud music, were unusual in the context of the typically conservative culture.

In the midst of this controversy, it is worth noting that the authenticity of the viral clips remains unverified, giving rise to questions about whether these events indeed took place or if the clips may pertain to a different occasion.
