‘Won’t Forgive Arooj and Her Gang’ Khalil-ur-Rehman Issues Warning to Alleged Kidnappers

Pakistani writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar has expressed his firm resolve not to forgive Amina Arooj, her associates, or the social media trolls linked to his alleged kidnapping. In a recent interview, Qamar described the group as “dangerous” and accused them of being involved in various criminal activities, including multiple murder cases. He vowed to ensure that they face legal consequences for their actions, stating that they assaulted him and must receive strict punishment.

Qamar, known for his work on popular dramas such as Mere Pass Tum Ho and Sadqay Tumhare, also targeted social media trolls, promising that they would also be brought to justice. He emphasized that he is pursuing the matter legally and will not rest until the responsible parties are held accountable.

The case took a significant turn with the rejection of Yasir Ali’s bail, one of the accused in the alleged kidnapping. The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court, led by Judge Arshad Javed, issued a two-page written verdict rejecting Ali’s bail, citing evidence that linked him to the crime, including phone records and witness identification. The court found sufficient criminal material against Ali, leading to the denial of his bail request.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on July 15, 2024, began when Khalilur Rehman Qamar was allegedly invited to Amina Arooj’s home to discuss a drama project. However, Qamar’s lawyer claimed that he was abducted by armed men, while Amina’s lawyer presented a different account, accusing Qamar of making inappropriate demands and arriving intoxicated at a second meeting. The case has sparked widespread attention, with both sides offering conflicting versions of events.

As the legal proceedings continue, the media is closely following the case, which has garnered significant public interest due to the high-profile nature of the individuals involved.
