Pervez Khattak resigning as KP president is another shock to PTI.

ISLAMABAD Pervez Khattak, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a former KP chief minister, announced his resignation from the party on Thursday. Khattak announced his departure from the party office while speaking at a news conference in Islamabad and denounced the vandalism of May 9. He belonged to the PTI core committee as well.

The former chief minister of KP said that he had already denounced the events on May 9. He said that he had decided after “consulting his friends”.

Khattak, the president of the PTI chapter in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced his resignation from the role and stated he will make a decision on his future after meeting “friends and party workers.”

Additionally, he stated that watching “propaganda” on television was “not right” and that he had made his choice only after giving it some thought. The former KP chief minister claimed that after carefully observing the political environment for some time, he had made the decision to leave his party post.
