On Bastille Day, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif sent his best wishes to French President Emmanuel Macron and the French people.

“The day commemorates the revolutionary struggle of the French people that resulted in the storming of the Bastille and ushered in a new era of liberty, equality, and fraternity,” the prime minister wrote on Twitter.

He added that “ I extend my warmest greetings to H.E. President Emmanuel Macron & the French people on their National Day today.“

“Equally commendable was France’s climate change advocacy and support for Pakistan during the Resilient Pakistan Conference in Geneva.” “Pakistan wishes to strengthen its friendly relations with the French Republic,” stated PM.

President Dr. Arif Alvi congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron on his country’s national day on Friday.

Alvi stated in his letter to President Macron that Pakistan and France have cordial relations characterised by mutual trust, shared perspectives, and close cooperation in multilateral fora.

The president stated that the Roadmap for Bilateral collaboration, which was signed in February of this year, would assist deepen diverse collaboration in sectors such as trade, people-to-people interactions, education, climate change, and energy transition.

The president expressed confidence that, under President Macron’s energetic leadership, France would elevate its bilateral relationship with Pakistan to mutual benefit.

“I take this opportunity to wish you good health and happiness, as well as the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the French Republic,” President Alvi said.
