The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast, indicating that Karachi is about to experience rain along with thunderstorms starting from Monday evening or night, with on-and-off showers expected to continue until Wednesday. This change in weather is attributed to the arrival of moderate monsoon winds into east Sindh.
According to the PMD’s early warning center, there are predictions of rain in several districts, including Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, and Sanghar, from today until September 20. Furthermore, districts like Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Sukkur, and others are likely to receive rainfall from September 18 to 19.

Moreover, the forecast suggests that rain with thunderstorms is anticipated in various parts of the country, encompassing Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir within the next 12 hours.
This year’s monsoon season has been relatively less rainy compared to previous years. Nonetheless, Karachi has been enjoying a pleasant climate for over a month, thanks to cool breezes that have helped mitigate the impact of humidity.
