Polio Vaccination Drive Starts In Five Districts Of Punjab

Punjab has launched an polio vaccination campaign across five districts, including Lahore, in response to the detection of the poliovirus.

The campaign aims to administer polio drops to 4.5 million children. Khizr Afzal, Head of the Anti Polio Program, confirmed the commencement of the campaign in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, and Muzaffargarh. It involves the participation of 32,000 polio workers who will ensure the vaccination drive’s success.

In Lahore and Rawalpindi, the polio vaccination campaign is scheduled to continue for seven days, whereas in the other districts, it will span five days.
